Corbett National Park is spread over a total area of 520 Sq kms across hills, riverine belts, marshy depressions, grasslands and a large lake. Being an eco-tourism destination, the park houses around 50 species of mammals, 580 bird species, and hundreds of species of plants and trees. Over 80 different bird species can be seen at and around SFR during your morning breakfast or evening walk.

Summer is witnessed in the park from March till June. Although the weather is hot during the day, mornings and evenings are pleasant and the occasional thunderstorms and showers cool the climate even further. It is considered the best time to visit the park as all five safari zones are open and wildlife sighting is abundant. This is when tourists can spot a plethora of animals who come out in search of water and also escape the crowd that is witnessed during the peak season. Also, leaves dry out during this season which makes spotting the elusive tiger easier for the tourists.
